The "Plaim" flute

The "plaim" is a bamboo flute which appears in all sizes and tunings within the ensembles, strengthening the voice of the "Hne" or even playing a counter part.

The last hole is covered by a light membrane in order to create a fuzzing sound.
Under the blowing end, the opening slit of the flute is covered by a piece of plastic or even a little film strip, which is attached by a rubber ribbon.

By moving this piece the flute can be easily tuned or attached to fine tuning.
