The Sattung bamboo zither

The  "Sattung"  is a bamboo tube zither of the Mandar
people in Central Sulawesi.

The "Sattung" is a bamboo tube zither with three "strings",
which are stripes cut of from the tube and heightened by
moveable bridges underneath. Two strings are tuned the same
while the other string is tuned a fifth or fourth higher.
The tube is 68 cm long and 6.8 cm in diameter.

The player can use the hand to open or close one end of
the tube to create a Wahwah effect.

The sound of this effect is associated with the voices of
frogs, "tung" menas "frog" in Mandar.
